Cumin (Cuminum cyminum L.) comes from an annual plant whose fruits – elongated yellow-brown achenes – are used as a spice. It has a distinctive strong, slightly sweet and mildly bitter taste, with an aromatic and sharply pungent aroma. The ground form allows for easy seasoning while preserving its full flavor intensity.
