Black rice is one of the lesser known types in our country. It is very tasty and has significant nutritional properties. Compared to classic white varieties, it contains twice as much protein and has a very low glycaemic index. It contains no gluten and is very nutritious and easily digestible. Black rice is an excellent accompaniment to meat, fish and vegetables. Excellent in salads or for preparing risotto.
