Basmati rice - Laila

High quality basmati rice appreciated for its fragrance and taste that resembles a nut. It is grown in India and Pakistan in an area where the fields are irrigated with ice water. It has longer grains than jasmine rice and does not stick. It is a loose rice with a fine smoky aroma and a flavor of hazelnuts. It is best with fried meat, but also with baked or grilled meals.
