Takoyaki sauce is a Japanese sauce used to flavor takoyaki, which are small, round balls made from seafood such as squid and a mixture of flour and egg. Takoyaki sauce has a salty, sweet and umami taste and is often used to flavor takoyaki, vegetables and rice.
