Huang xiao tea is a type of Chinese yellow tea that comes from Anhui province. It is made from young leaves of the tea tree which are fermented for several hours. Huang xiao has a sweet, delicate taste and is often served with light meals or as a snack. It is one of the oldest Chinese teas and has a long history. The first mention of Huang xiao dates back to the Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220 AD). Huang xiao was a favorite tea among emperors and the aristocracy and was used in many different medical recipes. It is still a popular tea today in China and abroad. It is known for its delicate taste, high nutritional value and health benefits.
Preparation- Pour 2-3g of tea over water at 85-95 degrees Celsius and infuse for 3-5 minutes.
